Advancing NDT Through Research: Driving Innovation and Discovery

Research is essential for progress in nondestructive testing (NDT). Every advancement in inspection methods, imaging technology, and flaw detection contributes to the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure, transportation systems, and industrial applications. The ASNT Foundation is dedicated to promoting NDT research, ensuring that innovative discoveries result in practical solutions that enhance lives and safeguard communities.

Through strategic funding and partnerships, the Foundation supports pioneering research initiatives that shape the future of NDT. These projects lead to developments that provide direct benefits to technicians, engineers, and manufacturers who depend on accurate NDT methods.

Funding is vital for advancing NDT research because it drives the development of new technologies and methodologies while enhancing existing ones. At the end of the day, it all is toward one goal: improving safety for everyone.”

Fellowship-Funded Research: A Path to Discovery

At the heart of our research efforts is the ASNT Foundation Fellowship Program, providing vital funding for academic institutions conducting NDT research. Each year, up to five fellowships are awarded to support innovative projects that meet strict evaluation criteria, enhancing the industry's future with new standards and technological advancements.

Additionally, recipients can publish their research in peer-reviewed publications and industry conferences and present at major ASNT events, facilitating knowledge sharing and inspiring future advancements in the field.
