The Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students who are pursuing degrees in engineering with a focus on nondestructive testing (NDT). This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to promising students, helping them to achieve their academic goals and contribute to the advancement of the NDT field.
Form of Award
The scholarship is $3,000. Up to three scholarships are awarded each year.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students enrolled in a college or university with a recognized engineering department program at the time the application is submitted for this scholarship are eligible. Each potential candidate must show their anticipated graduation date to be later that the date the award funds are to be distributed. Candidates must also show an active interest in the field of nondestructive testing and evaluation.
Selection
Up to three recipients are selected each year based on the following criteria:
Academic performance based on transcripts.
Essay evaluation.
Clarity and intelligibility.
Potential contribution to NDT.
Letters of support from faculty.
Overall impression.
Application
Students applying for the scholarship must submit the following:
Applicants must submit an original essay (maximum of 500 words) that clearly articulates their familiarity with NDT/NDE, any previous education in NDT/NDE, future contributions they anticipate making in NDT/NDE, and how the scholarship will provide them an advantage to further their career in NDT/NDE.
